Yesterday, the editors of this blog had the honor of being among the recipients of the Archivist’s Awards for Outstanding Achievement. We were thrilled to be recognized for our work on The Text Message and want to say thank you to our readers and contributors.
The ceremony, held in the Adrienne C. Thomas Auditorium at Archives II, is an event that recognizes exemplary accomplishments of NARA staff, volunteers, and citizen archivists. We were recognized for “outstanding use of social media tools to highlight NARA holdings to our customers.”
It has been a year of learning for us and of growth. We look forward to another year of sharing with you the fascinating records NARA holds that we get to work with every day. Coming soon: the x-rays of a despot; papers of the Continental Congress; Nixon; and, of course, Christmas.
Thank you all again,
The Editors receiving Outstanding Achievement Awards
Congratulations to each of you for making the Text Message such a success…while still managing your other duties! Thank you!
Congratulations, you deserve it!
Congratulations on your award. I really enjoy reading the Text Message Blog and look forward to reading more your blog posts.
